📖✨ “Forgiveness is not an occasional act. It is a constant attitude.” – Martin Luther King Jr.
There is a persistent misconception about therapy, especially psychoanalysis: many people think it is only about talking about the past and trauma. However, any therapeutic work also aims to help the person feel better in the present. There is a time to review the past, but also a time to learn to move on. However, our minds love fixed ideas and shortcuts… Notice how we keep talking about the “celebration” of women on March 8 when it is actually International Women’s Rights Day! (lol)
Those who refuse to forgive bear the weight of the events that caused them pain. Resentment possesses and controls us, while guilt feeds our ego. The more we entertain them, the more we become prisoners of our own past.
Forgiveness does not mean forgetting, but freeing oneself and honouring one's own existence. Serious acts are the responsibility of the courts, which ensure that nothing is forgotten. But our minds have an immense capacity to hold on to the past and to wounds.
If we live each day as a gift, we learn to forgive each day, without forgetting. The ego always seeks to love or hate, to attach itself to a fixed identity. Through meditation we can free ourselves from this attachment, until forgiveness is no longer a problem… because, in reality, there is nothing to forgive.

📖✨ “Losing is not an occasional act. It is a constant activity.” – Martin Luther King Jr.
There is a very common misconception about therapy, especially psychoanalysis: many believe that the goal is only to talk about the past and trauma. In any case, any therapeutic process also seeks to help the person feel better in the present. There is a time to explore the past, but also a time to learn to move forward. Our minds certainly love fixed ideas… I can only see how people continue to talk about “women’s day” on March 8, when in reality it is International Women’s Rights Day. (hahaha)
Those who refuse to forgive bear the weight of the events that caused them pain. The encounter possesses and controls us, while resentment feeds our ego. The longer we hold on to it, the more we become prisoners of our former owner.
Losing does not mean forgetting, but rather liberating and honouring one's own existence. The most serious acts are a matter for justice, which ensures that nothing is forgotten. However, our mind has an enormous capacity to avoid the past and the pain.
If we live each day as a gift, we will learn to give each day, without forgetting. I am always looking for something to love or hate, referring to a rigid identity. Through meditation, we can free ourselves from this attachment, until losing is no longer a problem… because, in reality, there is nothing to lose.
